lake como wedding venues and Vendors
The first thing to understand about Lake Como is that it is fairly large (56 square miles) and has unusual 'Y' shape, making traveling in between different towns slightly difficult. So the first thing to consider when choosing a ceremony and venue is their proximity to one another and if transportation is even feasible between the two and how much it costs. Many of the Villas do both the ceremony & reception, which you'll see in the table below, depending on the type of ceremony you want.
I think by now you know that I'm a huge proponent of staying in Varenna (the church is a stone's throw from Villa Cipressi and Villa Monastero), but there are many venues throughout these lakeside towns that provide a unique and affordable experience.
There are so many variables to consider when picking a venue that require direct communication, so it is hard to be exhaustive in summarizing your options (especially when it comes to pricing and other non-public info). However, I created a matrix of some of the key elements that go into choosing the right venue , so you can focus on the places that meet your basic requirements.

If your venue of choice only allows symbolic ceremonies, here's where you can get a legally binding marriage beforehand.
There are many charming restaurants that can be rented privately and accommodate large parties. Even if they don't allow music, this could be a great option for a unique dining experience (and to have everything you need in one place!)
